Paul Racette has worked as the Pennsylvania Environmental Council’s (PEC) Watershed Programs Manager for the Southeast office since 2006. Racette has over 30 years of environmental science experience with federal agencies, private consulting groups, and educational/nonprofit organizations.

Following two years of fishery extension work in Central Africa with the Peace Corps, Racette worked on air and hazardous waste management projects in Southeastern Pennsylvania with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. He re-located to Seattle in 1991 to work in private consulting, continuing to engage in hazardous material site investigations and cleanups as a human health risk assessor. Since 1998 Racette has refocused his career on natural resource management issues.

His work at PEC has focused on stormwater management and watershed restoration programs. He manages watershed partnerships, coordinates stormwater control measure projects and educational programming, and facilitates water trail and ecological restoration projects. Racette holds Biology (B.S.) and Environmental Science (M.S.) degrees.
