Janet Sweeney serves as Vice President. She leads PEC’s Northeast office located in Dallas, PA, where she has worked for twenty years. Sweeney manages projects and programs of various sizes, scopes and budgets, including the Pocono Forest and Waters Conservation Landscape Program, Pennsylvania Organization for Watersheds and Rivers, Keep Northeastern Pennsylvania Beautiful, litter cleanup and beautification projects, and a pilot Statewide Outdoor Ambassador Program.
Sweeney has a M.S. in Planning and Regional Development from the University of Arizona. She is a member of the American Planning Association Pennsylvania Chapter, serves on the Countryside Conservancy Trail Advisory Board and serves on the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources Conservation and Natural Resources Advisory Council.
Sweeney lives in Clarks Summit with her husband and enjoys hiking, biking, kayaking, and traveling.
