Every year, PEC hosts regional awards dinners to celebrate the exceptional work being done by groups and individuals across the Commonwealth to help the environment. This year, those events looked a little different. While we were not able to gather in person, the virtual events presented new opportunities, including the ability for viewers throughout the state to attend any of the dinners.
We’re pleased to share video recordings of our 30th Annual Evening for Northeast Pennsylvania’s Environment and the 2020 Philadelphia Environmental Partnership Dinner, along with the full Western Pennsylvania Environmental Awards virtual program.
2020 Western Pennsylvania Environmental Awards
The Western Pennsylvania Environmental Awards recognizes and honors outstanding achievements of organizations, businesses, and individuals in a wide range of environmental initiatives throughout the region and pays tribute to those that have demonstrated a commitment to environmental excellence, leadership, and accomplishment in their respective fields.
By sponsoring these awards, the Pennsylvania Environmental Council and co-sponsor Dominion Energy hope to encourage the community to emulate the achievements of the successful nominees, thereby promoting innovative environmental efforts and enhancing the quality of life in Western Pennsylvania.

2020 Philadelphia Environmental Partnership Dinner
November 17, 2020
At this year’s Environmental Partnership Dinner, we continued our tradition of paying tribute to those who have demonstrated a commitment to environmental excellence, leadership, and accomplishment in Southeastern Pennsylvania. We gave special recognition to our partners and the work that protects and restores water quality in the Delaware River Basin and activates trails and outdoor recreation—especially along the Delaware and Schuylkill Rivers.
