POSTPONED: Climate Change and the Laurel Highlands

UPDATE 3/12/20: We have been closely monitoring the developments regarding the coronavirus and the recommendations prescribed by the Center for Disease Control (CDC) as well as state and local officials. Out of an abundance of caution and with the health and safety of all attendees in mind, we are postponing the Speaker Series that was to be held on March 18, 2020. ThisĀ Speaker Series will explore climate impacts and the Laurel Highlands and will include presentations covering mitigation and adaption strategies of state agencies including an overview of the DCNR Climate Change Action Plan; state energy policy efforts; and work that is underway and planned to adapt to a changing climate. Participants will gain tools to engage in both policy and practice around climate impacts, regardless of their views. Hosted by the Laurel Highlands Conservation Landscape, presentations include experts from the PA Departments of Conservation and Natural Resources, and Environmental Protection; the Western Pennsylvania Conservancy; and the Pennsylvania Environmental Council.
