PEC hosted the 35th Annual Northeast Pennsylvania Environmental Partnership Awards on October 23 to honor those working to conserve and restore Pennsylvania’s natural resources, educate their neighbors about the environment, and get people outdoors to enjoy everything the region has to offer.
The Northeast Environmental Partners, comprised of the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection, Pennsylvania Environmental Council, PPL Corporation, Procter & Gamble Paper Products Company, and Wilkes University honored eight awardees at the dinner for their environmental excellence.
The awardees include Back Mountain Bloomers Garden Club, Crestwood High School Enviro Club, Friends of Salt Springs Park, Lackawanna State Park Trail Crew, the Watershed Coalition of the Lehigh Valley, and the Pennsylvania American Water’s Wonderful World of Water Summer Camp. The 2025 Emerging Environmental Leader Award was presented to Jordon Wagner and the 31st Annual Thomas. P. Shelburne Environmental Leadership Award was present to John Maday.
