Born and raised in Philadelphia, Nate Dorfman joined PEC in 2018, and brings experience in community development and public administration. Dorfman has served as an International City Management Association (ICMA) Fellow for the City of Tulsa, Oklahoma, completing projects with the City’s Customer Care, Planning & Development and Police departments, and managed a Department of Justice community policing grant, which has supported resident empowerment and revitalization in Tulsa’s 61st and Peoria neighborhood. Immediately before working in Tulsa, Dorfman participated in Bike & Build, during which he cycled from Maine to Oklahoma and volunteered with Habitat for Humanity along the way. He has also worked with the Borough of Ambridge, Pennsylvania and the University of Pittsburgh’s Center for Metropolitan Studies.
Dorfman holds a Master of Public Administration from the University of Pittsburgh as well as a degree in Government from George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia. In addition to outdoor activities like cycling and running, he enjoys traveling and attending local concerts.
