Cindy Ferguson came to PEC in 2010 as Director of Operations for the Southeast Regional Office after working for more than 20 years at the senior and executive levels in the education/social service sector, including leadership roles at the Community Women’s Education Project and Project H.O.M.E. During that time, Ferguson also served on the Mayor’s Commission on Literacy, and on the boards of Women’s Way and the Community Partnership School. Holding a B.A. from Rider University, Ferguson is a 1997 graduate of Leadership Philadelphia, and a 2009 Fellow of Bryn Mawr College’s Non-Profit Executive Leadership Institute.
An avid birder, hiker, and nature photographer, Ferguson made a personal commitment many years ago to the protection of the environment and the wildlife that depends on it. In making the career change that brought her to PEC, she chose to marry avocation with vocation and redirect her professional skills to help advance strong conservation values and environmental solutions.
