Chris Corbran joined the PEC team in December 2017 after more than ten years living in the Pittsburgh region and working in the outdoor recreation and renewable energy fields. As Program/Communications Coordinator, he provides support for the Industrial Heartlands Trail Coalition, orchestrates group rides to showcase existing trails, and maintains the IHTC website.
Chris has spent the majority of his career helping others access opportunities for outdoor recreation through his work with Venture Outdoors, Golden Triangle Bike, and Bike Pittsburgh. He also has hands-on experience in the energy sector, performing solar installations and developing off-grid energy storage systems for Zero Fossil Energy Outfitter, and working with Pittsburgh-based deep cycle battery manufacturer Aquion Energy.
Chris holds a B.S. in Urban Studies and Community Planning from the University of Pittsburgh.
When he’s not working to further IHTC’s goals, there’s a good chance you’ll find Chris in the woods speckled with mud, alongside his dog, Chapman.
