Having been with PEC since 1997, Walliser oversees all of PEC’s policy work, and manages legal and governance issues for the organization. A well-respected voice in Harrisburg, Walliser provides a crucial voice as PEC advocates for advances on issues including longwall mining, implementation of the Clean Power Plan, methane emissions, and water quality standards.

“Environmental policy has been, and will continue to be a core part of PEC’s work,” PEC President Davitt Woodwell said. “John is a valuable asset in our efforts and his knowledge and insight on a wide range of environmental challenges continue to serve us exceptionally well.”

Walliser also currently serves on the Board of Directors for the West Penn Power Sustainable Energy Fund, the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) Citizens Advisory Council, the Pennsylvania Environmental Quality Board, the DEP Air Quality Technical Advisory Committee, and as a non-voting member of DEP’s Oil and Gas Technical Advisory Board.
