Online Learning Opportunities for Watershed Organizations

Tali MacArthur, Watersheds Program Manager

Working from home doesn’t mean we stop learning! With multiple free webinars and virtual presentations planned in the next week, watershed professionals and volunteers can stay current and connected with colleagues.

Here are a few upcoming events we’re following:

  • The DCNR Riparian Forest Buffer Team is hosting a FREE weeklong Riparian Forest Webinar Series to give you a chance to learn a few things and connect with buffer friends from across the state. The program includes sessions on stream ecology, wildlife impacts, reforestation, and more. These will take place from 12 noon to 1 PM Monday, 3/30 through Friday, 4/3. If you are interested in any or all of these sessions, please [email protected] to sign-up! This is the only way to get the info for the webinars, so don’t forget this part.
  • Tom Schueler and David Wood of the Chesapeake Stormwater Network will lead a deep dive on stream restoration on April 1, from 2-4 PM. Presentation will address all sides of the stream restoration debate, review best practices and principles, as well as unintended consequences. This will be a 45 min presentation plus discussion and Q&A. Join by Zoom or call in to 888-475-4499 using Meeting ID #443 759 3409.
  • Tuesday, March 31 from 1-2 pm: Raising Money and Staying Sane during a Pandemic and a Financial Crisis. Hosted by EveryAction. Register here.
