State’s newest greenway links the Schuylkill and Susquehanna rivers

The state Department of Conservation and Natural Resourcestoday announced the official designation of the Schuylkill to Susquehanna Greenway as a Statewide Major Greenway.

The 85-mile greenway spans Chester, Lancaster and Montgomery counties and allows users to travel between the Schuylkill and Susquehanna rivers.

The designation, according to DCNR, was a cooperative effort between the multiple agencies including the Pennsylvania Environmental Council and the three counties.
