A trail group is expected to organize during 2015 to begin planning and fundraising for the Harvey’s Creek Trail/Greenway project.
If the trail is built, it will provide “sensational, gorgeous” vistas and will link existing public forests and parks, said Janet Sweeney, director of the Northeast regional office of the Pennsylvania Environmental Council.
“The views from the trail would really be beautiful,” Sweeney said.
Much of Wyoming Valley would be visible from the trail as its winds though the Back Mountain.
