Five-State Trail a ‘Visionary Plan’ for Summit County

A visionary plan to construct a 1,600-mile, 5-state trail system that travels along the Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath to the west of Twinsburg — and could ultimately connect to the city, township and village of Reminderville via local links to the towpath that runs through Cuyahoga Valley National Park — could become reality for Northeast Ohio in the next decade.

Twinsburg Mayor Katherine Procop on March 10 discussed the possibility of this long-term project from the Rails-to-Trails Conservancy and the Pennsylvania Environmental Council.
