Clean-Up of the Century: NPS to Celebrate Centennial Anniversary With River Trash Pick Up

Countless residents and visitors often find enjoyment and relaxation when they canoe through the rapids and quiet pools of the Delaware River, one of the most scenic destinations in the National Park Service.

Many argue that its scenery, fish, rolling hills and riverfront villages make the river one of the finest in the northeast United States and park service officials said the clean water of the Delaware — the last major undammed river in the eastern part of the country — supports a healthy ecosystem and offers both tranquility and excitement.

On Monday, July 18 and Tuesday, July 19, the National Park Service plans to host the annual “On and Under the Delaware River Clean-up…”
