Don’t-Miss Funding Opportunities for February

Spring and summer are a great time to get out and explore the outdoors, or to tackle a project that will help preserve or enhance natural and recreational resources in your community. The middle of winter is… a great time to figure out how to pay for those activities.

Here are some upcoming grant opportunities you won’t want to miss:

Laurel Highlands Conservation Landscape 2018 Mini-Grants

As external lead for DCNR’s Laurel Highlands Conservation Landscape, PEC administers $50,000 in mini-grants for projects in Cambria, Fayette, Somerset, and Westmoreland Counties, covering everything from land and water conservation to trails to economic development.

2018 Pennsylvania Sojourn Grants

Each year the Pennsylvania River Sojourns Program sends thousands of people out in canoes and kayaks to explore more than 500 miles of waterways across the Commonwealth. Funded by DCNR and administered by our affiliate organization, the Pennsylvania Organization for Watersheds and Rivers (POWR), the program supports single-day or multi-day trips with grant amounts of up to $900 per day.
