This small town played a dominant role in Philadelphia and our county’s history as an industrial leader. Industrialists Lee, Wood, Harry, and Lukens became household names and spurred the town’s industrialization with money, ideas, and ambition. The town roared with life: mills of all kinds were in full production, taverns and stores attracted wealthy patrons, and entrepreneurs prospered during this time of industry and commerce.
Today, the river and town have staged a dramatic comeback and are again becoming a destination.
Join us for a lively presentation by local author, historian, and master storyteller, Jack Coll, and discover a window into Conshohocken’s past with a look toward the future of the river and town’s revitalization.
This is a free event, but space is limited.
