Potter County Community Illegal Dumpsite Cleanup

In partnership with the Potter County Conservation District and local governing bodies, PEC will conduct an illegal dumpsite cleanup in West Branch Township on April 9.

The event will focus on cleaning up illegally dumped trash, tires, appliances, and debris located in and along the banks of Pine Creek. This is an illegal dumpsite cleanup and volunteers are asked to dress appropriately.

On the morning of the cleanup, volunteers will gather across from the VFW Post 6611 for registration and instructions. After registration, volunteers will be provided with work gloves, trash bags, and safety vest. Volunteers will begin the cleanup when supplies are distributed and instructions have been provided.

Families, individuals, scouting groups, 4H groups, environmental organizations, businesses, colleges, universities and high school clubs and students are invited to be part of this effort. (Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian or have a parent/guardian sign a registration/insurance form prior to the cleanup and bring it with them. Anyone over 18 can sign the insurance form the day of the event.)

From Mansfield head west on US-6 Wellsboro St toward Main St., Turn left
onto Main St., Main St. turns slightly right and becomes PA-660 W/West
Ave., Continue on to PA362 W, Turn left onto US-6W, Turn left onto Bridge
St, Turn right onto Germainia St., Continue straight onto Exd T-433
Germainia St. to VFW Post 6611.
Dumping is along the banks of Pine Creek
