Perkiomen Creek Sojourn

Join the adventure as we paddle a seven mile stretch of the Perkiomen Creek from Schwenksville to Oaks!

Explore the scenic beauty and hidden treasures of the Perkiomen. Do some boulder dodging. Battle the dams and rapids. Chat with old friends and make some new ones. Enjoy lunch at Cranberry Park, and learn a little about this gem winding through our own backyards. Bring your own canoe or kayak or rent one from us!

Time: 9:00 am – 3:00 pm
Fee: $35 Members/ $55 Nonmembers
Canoe/Kayak Rental: $35

Launch Point – Red Fox Park (adjacent to the Rt. 73 Bridge over the Perkiomen.)

Prior to Launch – Free bus transportation is available from Hoy Park, our take out site, to the Conservancy before the Sojourn, prior to launch. If you are using your own boat, please drop it off at the Red Fox Park site first. All drivers, including those who are renting, should plan to park at Hoy Park in the morning. Our bus will leave at 8:15 am to return to the Conservancy and Red Fox Park in time for a pre-trip briefing and launch. Additional vehicles may be parked in the Conservancy’s lot across the street (Rt.73) from launch site.

Take Out – Hoy Park – Along Arcola Rd. in Lower Providence Township.

Don’t forget to bring:
Money for the food trucks or a brown bag lunch and drink
Water bottle
Snack
Sunscreen

Space is limited so register early!
No dogs on this trip, please.
