Breakfast Roundtable: Methane and Energy Security

November 16, 2017 @ 9:30 am - 10:30 am

Vet Voice Foundation invites you to a breakfast roundtable to discuss the importance of cutting natural gas waste to energy security, clean air, and the responsible development of Pennsylvania’s natural gas resources.

Gov. Tom Wolf is set to finalize standards by the end of the year that cut methane – the primary component of natural gas – from new natural gas operations and to begin work on a rule that addresses methane pollution from existing natural gas operations. This effort recently came under fire in state budget negotiations around the severance tax.

Veterans from across the state will join Vet Voice Foundation and Pennsylvania Environmental Council staff in a panel discussion followed by Q&A about the importance of this issue with respect to energy security and clean air, the need for Gov. Wolf to show leadership on the issue, and state legislative policy.

Breakfast will be provided. To RSVP, please email Garett Reppenhagen at [email protected].
