Starla Murray joined the Pennsylvania Environmental Council as a Communications Fellow in June 2017, based in PEC’s Pittsburgh office.
Murray earned her Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations and Advertising from Point Park University in April 2017. While at Point Park, she wrote content for the university’s website; contributed to the campus newspaper; anchored segments and assisted with production at the campus news station; and created and executed advertising, public relations, and IMC campaigns. Before college, she attended Pittsburgh’s Creative and Performing Arts high school (CAPA) as a literary arts major, studying creative writing and communications.
With a passion for promoting a healthy and safe environment, Murray hopes to use her skills and experience to help PEC achieve its communications goals.
