Northeastern Pennsylvania Trail Map

The Northeastern Pennsylvania Bicycling and Hiking Map provides a guide to accessing trails and bike routes across the Commonwealth for both Pennsylvania residents and visitors.

In 2009 the Pennsylvania Environmental Council produced the Northeastern Pennsylvania Bicycling and Hiking Map: A Guide to Accessing Trails and Bike Routes.

This high quality map depicts all of the existing and open trails in the 10-county region of Northeastern Pennsylvania including Bradford, Carbon, Lackawanna, Luzerne, Monroe, Pike, Sullivan, Susquehanna, Wayne, and Wyoming Counties.

50,000 copies of the map were printed and all were distributed not only throughout Northeastern Pennsylvania but the entire Commonwealth. The map was made available at PA Welcome Centers, Visitor Bureaus, local businesses such as bike shops, outfitters and hotels, at special events and a variety of other venues.

The trail opportunity map is a valuable resource in promoting hiking and biking opportunities to local residents as well as visitors to Northeastern Pennsylvania. It provides the user with a unique “one stop shop” source to existing bicycling and walking trails located throughout the region. Additionally, the map identifies trails and trailheads as well as sources of information to aid bicyclists and hikers in planning their trips to the region (i.e. trail website addresses, safety information, etc).
