Members of PPL Electric Utilities’ vegetation management group assisted approximately 80 other volunteers in an Earth Day tree planting Friday, April 20, 2018 in the Weiser State Forest. The planting was arranged by the Pennsylvania Environmental Council and the Bureau of Forestry. About 4,500 seedlings were planted on a 4-acre restoration area. Shown in the photo are PPL volunteers Caleb Houser and Chris Tolomay, both line clearance inspectors. PPL Electric Utilities Forester Mary Baker also volunteered. Houser, Tolomay and Baker are all based at PPL’s Susquehanna Service Center in Montoursville.
