Groundbreaking: New Trail Bridge in Jim Thorpe

PennDOT Secretary Leslie Richards and DCNR Secretary Cindy Adams Dunn will join Carbon County Commissioners to break ground on the long-awaited pedestrian bridge in Jim Thorpe.  When completed, the bridge will provide a key connection for the D&L Trail over the Lehigh River.

Celebrate Earth Day weekend by helping PEC and DCNR create 10 acres of new forest in Luzerne County! We have more than 7000 seedlings ready to be transplanted to their new home in Pinchot State Forest — we just need a few friends to help out with the work. The event will be held rain or shine. Be sure to wear boots or sturdy shoes. We’ll take care of the rest, including food and supplies. Questions?
