Clarion River Sojourn

Celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Wild and Scenic Rivers Act by joining Western Pennsylvania Concservancy for a two-day, 24-mile paddle on the Clarion River on August 18 and 19. Cohosted by WPC and PA DCNR, the Wild and Scenic Clarion River Sojourn will take you by canoe from Hallton to Cooksburg, Pa.
You’ll experience a portion of the 52-mile section of the Clarion River from Ridgway, Pa. to the Piney Dam that was federally designated as a part of the National Wild and Scenic Rivers System in 1996. Sojourn participants are welcome to attend individual days or enjoy the full weekend. Registration fees include daily meals, canoe rental, tent campsite, educational programs and shuttle service.
